Site Policy

UCCF doesn’t capture and store any personal information about individuals who access this website, except where you voluntarily choose to give us your personal details via e-mail or by filling in an enquiry form.

In these latter cases, the personal information you give us is used exclusively by UCCF for administering the graduate network and for providing you with current and future information about our work. We will not disclose this information to any other person or organisation, except in connection with the above purpose.

You have a right to know about the personal information UCCF holds about you. You also have a right to have your data corrected or deleted if it is being held inappropriately. Please address all your requests and/or queries about our Data Protection policy to our main office, c/o The Data Protection Officer.

Emails

All email generated from this site is stored and is accessible to the Webmaster in order to monitor for abuse. All information is treated as being strictly confidential.

Browser Requirements 

The site is designed to be accessible for all web browsers from your PC or Mac to your mobile phone.  While we've worked hard to ensure that as many features as possible remain available to everyone there are some things that will not be available without the following plugins.

Apart from the warning on the homepage you shouldn't notice the difference although some features will not be visible to you.

We've recently started to add video features to the website.  You'll need a recent version of the Flash player to view these.

Cookies

UCCF doesn’t send cookies from this site and only monitors the IP address of visitors to assess which pages are the most popular. These IP addresses aren’t linked to any personal data so that visitors to our site remain anonymous. There are two exceptions to these rules:

  1. To enable your computer to automatically sign you in when you return to the site we store a Cookie on your PC with your login ID. If you have you security setting set too high the site will still function, you'll just have to type in your username and password.
  2. We temporarily store the IP address and details of all emails sent from our website in order to monitor and block abuse of the email facility our website provides. The record is purged on a daily basis.

This site require session cookies to be enabled. Session cookies do not store any data about the user and are only used to identify the user’s computer to the web server. The session cookie is destroyed when the user closes their browser. See google for a definition of a session cookie. To allow only session cookies in Internet Explorer version 5 upwards go to Tools, Internet Options and the Privacy tab. Click the button entitled Advanced, tick the box that entitled “Always allow session cookies” and then click Ok.
